Hotel B. RevPAR A = 0.90 × 110 = $99.00. RevPAR B = 0.70 × 145 = $101.50. High occupancy is not the goal — revenue per available room is. This distinction is asked in some form in almost every screening interview.
77.8% — 0.70 × 150 ÷ 135. An 11% volume lift just to stand still, before variable costs (which make it worse). If you can't name where those extra rooms come from, don't make the cut.
